Option to create a custom grid of tiles which can be used in conjunction with 'Basic paint tools'.
Quick example should be sufficient to explain:
Basic 9x9 grid:
123
456
789
1,3,7 and 9 are corners. 2,4,6 and 8 are sides. 5 is the middle.
In a line only two sides and the middle are stretched:

45555556
78888889
123
456
456
456
456
456
456
789
The two examples show the grid selected being stretched in a line.
An example of a rectangular area being stretched:
12222222222223
45555555555556

45555555555556
45555555555556
45555555555556

I hope this is a sufficient example of what I'm suggesting. A picture demonstration would be helpful but I'm sure Sausage is open minded enough to figure out what I'm demonstrating.
