Get a better internet connection?
Are you downloading while hosting the server?
Do you have many brothers and sisters that also use the internet?
These are some options that can cause a possible lag.

The speed of your computer is also a factor. Although Seose doesn't use much CPU time, if you have a slow computer and are running other CPU intensive apps such as the EO client then you suffer a performance hit that will translate into lag.
