how do you get a ping timeout if you can't create a character?
this is a common problem..
did you add all your pub files to the data folder
and all the maps to a new folder named maps?
your folders should be like this
i'm only including the folders
-(what you named the seose folder)-
--data--
(add these files)
dat001.ecf (class pub)
dat001.eif (items pub)
dsl001.esf (spells pub)
dtn001.enf (npc pub)
--maps--
(add these files)
00001.emf - 000278.emf
--users--
(does not need files added)
if you don't know where to get these files..
you can get them by
1.) logging into main
and getting them out of your endless folder
2.)download an old version of seose that has them
3.)make your own
note: options 1 and 2 are illegal
(figured i'd get flamed for not adding that)
you should now be able to log in successfully
as for the ping time out problem you're having
wait for sordie to fix the problem
or change the priority to "above normal"
(you can do this by going into the task manager
clicking the processes tab, and right clicking seose.exe)
oh yeah.. next time.. use the search button.
there is a reason for those ya know...
