Two things I discovered about adding new gfx.

Both of these deal with weapon gfx.

You noticed, I assume, that the weapon gfx seems to jump up by 100 every time a new weapon graphic set is introduced. Easy way to find the sp1 for your item, chop off the last 2 numbers, and theres the spec you need for it.

Also, there is a limited amount of weapons you can put into the client. Once you hit 99 in sp1, you cannot add any more new ones, you will need to replace old ones. Well, you can add them, but they wont show on your character. Unsure about other gfx, Ill post back if I find out more.

Im sorry if this post seems irrelevant, I just thought everyone would benefit by my posting this.

Not so sure if this is the gfx, I'm actually wondering if this is server side in the pubfiles.

Would make sense, because pubedit/editpub isn't 100%

That would explain why my character is slicing enemies with a nothing instead of a scimitar.
