Forum :: Seose :: Character creation problems? - READ ME!

OK It would seem that apparently a lot of people are to busy/important to search the forums before asking about this so I'll answer it here once and for all.

If Seose crashes or hangs when you try to create a character or login it's probably going to be because of one of the following problems:

1. Seose doesn't come with any Map, NPC, Spell, Class or Item files due too copyright issues. You have to provide your own.

2. You have used PubEdit and corrupted one of your PUB files.

..or..

3. You have invalid default values (start items, start map, etc..) in your default.xini file.

I'm locking all current topics on character creation and -1'ing/deleting all new topics asking this question. Use this thread or gtfo XD

Lol yea i had to deal with that when i downloaded Seose. But i had the comon sense to know it was because i had no maps. Lets just hope people are smart enough to look here before making those topics.

You'll need to either create your own or use somebody else's (providing you have permission). See the Client Editing section for more information.

if i provide my own maps where do i put the folder?

sordie wen i open seos.exe it say time out in 2.5 Please help me

 It says forcing global save when i open seose.exe on EVERY version I have tried my sister's computer and it started to sorta work. When i created a character it crashed. I have read almost all these forums and they didnt help at all. If you could help me email me at  Cloneruler@gmail.com. THNX :D

"EVERY version" being only one then because v0.2 r6 is the ONLY version that tries to force a global save.

Just reading a forum won't help. You actually have to do something so what have you done to try and fix your problem? Have you made item, spell, class and npc pub files? Have you made maps? Have you edited your default.xini, arena.xini and npc.xini files to reflect this data?

none of those are my problems, idk what it is, my default spawn is good  and so are my items, so idk =\

How do you know you maps/pubs are good? and have you edited any of the xini files?

yes i have, i have edited  the default, seose, n thats it =|
