everytime i download it it opens with notepad and a bunch of crazy letters and shit pop up what do i need to do to get it to stop doing that

When you download the file does it show a dialog saying to either Run, Save or Cancel?

If so click Save.

If it does not show a dialog what so ever, then try re-setting your browser settings.
