Post #12104 Port Forwarding Help! (READ BEFORE POSTING!)

All the information you is below:

Port: 8078 (Unless you use a different port)
Protocol: TCP (UDP IS NOT REQUIRED!)

Find your make and model on your router! It would be located on the bottom of it most likely.

Go to: http://www.portforward.com/

Choose your router and choose any tutorial. As long as you substitute the information above instead of what they use in the tutorial you should be fine.

If you can't manage to do this, I don't think you should be trying to host a server.

If you have a software firewall, You need to add the respective rules. Contact your software provider or use Google for help with. this.

Now if you can't figure this out, reply and I will attempt to help you. That doesn't mean add me on MSN and bug me either..

1. Local IP = 192.168.*.* or 10.0.*.* (Start > run > cmd > ipconfig - You it will say IP Address: ...)
2. Local Port = 8078 or whatever you are using for Seose/EOSERV
3. Type = TCP
4. Public Port = 8078 or whatever you are using for Seose/EOSERV
5. Comment = Probably just type Seose or EOSERV (Most likely for your records)

Post #12160 Re: Port Forwarding Help! (READ BEFORE POSTING!)

Okay. My PortForwarding isnt woking. I've followed everything i needed to do.

Custom Service Name - Endless Online

Global Port Range 8078 - 8078

Base Host Port - 8078

Protocol - TCP

My Router doesnt ask me for a local IP. If your Wondering why i added a custom service, its because endless online isnt on the list of programs for my router found at Portforward.com.

I Enabled the Service Inside my router and Restarted it to make sure it worked properly.

Then i went and added a NO-IP free host, this is what my host was

Host name: Enhanced-eo.no-ip.org

Host Type: DNS Host (A)

IP Address: 86.42.210.147

Assign To Group:
No Group

I Click Save Host and went into my NO-IP Dyanamic Update Client (DUC), And Updated my Host, It told me the update was successful.

So i went into SEOSE.XINI, Enabled SLN, Configured it that way it should be

Name="Enhanced-EO" /*The Name of your Server*/
URL="http://soride.com/" /*The Website of your server*/ (Wasn't supposed to come out as a link >.<)
IP="Enhanced-eo.no-ip.org" /*The Domain Name of your Server*/
Port="0" /*The External port of your server (0=Auto)*/

I saved, and Rebooted my Server, During SLN check it said something like this

Error your host parameter does not point to your ip host has been changed to (Then it gave me an IP, i cant remember, but i'll try to get a screenshot)

I went to SEOSE.XINI and i tried changing the host to the one it was supposedly changed to, when i rebooted my serv, it didnt give me the above error anymore, but the normal SLN error you get when your server is not portforwarded

I then used Portforward.com's Port checker, It said that my port was not open or unreachable, i also made sure that the program Endless Online (The custom service i created) had access through my firewall on port 8078, even though my firewall was switched off all the time

Reading this topic, makes me sound like the stupidest person on the forums, but honestly, i've tried everything i could to get this to work, all the settings i got are the ones i followed from PortForward.com

What is the make and model of your router?

Take a snapshot of your portforwarding page on the router and upload to imageshack and give me the link.

If the server status checker says its online then it was able to establish a connection. Are you sure you are using the right IP and is SLN set up correctly?

  {
    Name = "~Angelic Online~"          /* The name of your server*/
    URL  = "http://angelic-online.myv.nl/"  /* The website for your server */
    IP   = "angeliconline.no-ip.org " /* The domain name of your server */
    Port = 0                          /* The external port of your server (0=auto)*/
This is right i think xD

And i portforwarded too

Whats the problem then D:

I have made a account at No-IP called angeliconline.no-ip.org

I tested if it worked on another laptop and it says cannot find the server or something like that.

You have an extra space after your IP. Not sure that has anything to do with it... Start your server and I'll test it.

But i just only needed to register and make a host on no-ip.com?
Or do i needed to do more then that?
