Post #197548 Eo Map Editor

Hello;

I've used eoserv's map editor a lot in the past, but I've had this problem on some of my computers. Where I'll go to open the .exe and the window will open, then automatically close. I am not sure what this problem is but I've done the following;

Tried all of the compatibility settings in the properties
Installed C++, Direct X, and Framework updates
Ran as an administrator
Updated my graphics drivers
Upgraded and downgraded Operating Systems.
All versions of the map editor including Exiles Map Editor.
Current display Driver: 965 Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)

I had it working on windows 7 for quite along time, but when I decided to upgrade to windows 8.1 it stopped working. Ever since then I haven't too much Endless Online related projects... Recently the free upgrade for windows 10 was released, so I tried it on there and the same thing happened. The software still opened, and crashed. Fed up with this, I downgraded back to windows 7 where guess what... the same problem happens on the operating system that I believed it to work on... I would really like to get into mapping again for fun, if anyone has any ideas to why I can't open it. Let me know. Thank you.

Did you add the Endless Online (or Patched) gfx files in the map editor?

I hate to tell you, but your graphics card is likely to blame. I had the same issue in the past. I used to use EOMap editors (Tried them all) in the past, and then eventually they stopped working. You're probably going to need a new graphics card unfortunately, that is almost a guarantee. If you have an old graphics card, it's even more likely that that is the case.

Once I got a (newish) (Still old as hell) graphics card, I was finally able to run EOMap Editors again on my shitty old desktop.
