"I don't know why" is not sufficient for any kind of help. Are you trying to open a file...or just eomap itself?

It's listing kernel32.dll as one of the error modules, which contains the functions for loading resources into eomap (or any EO program that uses the .gfx). My guess is that it can't find the gfx folder. Is it in the same directory as the eomap application?

You might also want to update to a newer service pack if you're running anything less than SP3.

i am running service pack 3, and the map editor is in the same directory as my 2nd extracted EO-ZIPPEDV028 so it has all the GFX files, it has never given me this trouble before, i can lay down ground, just cant switc the tabs

Did you make sure to copy all of the files from the map editor's folder into your client's directory? Other things that may cause this is opening maps that have graphics that do not exist in your GFX files.

there was nothing in the GFX folder in the eomap zipped file, so i merged that folder with the one im my eozipped, and its still giving me the error

Can you zip your client with map editor and put it on another PC? This should tell if it is simply your computer or if you have maybe missed a needed file. Alternatively you could just copy your GFX into the map editor's folder and try that.
