Post #133735 Making EOSERV more user friendly

Hello,

I was thinking of doing this. Putting everything in EOServ together into one executable file and having an editor built in. Maybe even some downloadable plug-ins, which would be like tools.

How many people would support me on doing this?

I have Visual Studio 10 Ultimate as well and have been using it a lot.

It already is in one file, a ZIPPED file. As for your "downloadable plug-ins", that is basically the same as what Sausage has been doing by updating the eoserv folder.

I think he meant to add it into one window. Like edit the artwork, pubs, Code, Shops ect.

This would be a good idea. It would make the folder structure easier for people starting to use (it okay the way it is)

But this would be great to see for the people starting a new Server to be able to open one thing and see everything easy to see and easy to edit. I like this idea.

This would be a bad idea because plugins don't have the same ability as regular programs. Also what if someone likes another editor? This would cause problems. But you can run a program in a form. A problem in vb is that only certain programs can be embedded in a form. I got notepad to be parented but not the EO client. On my youtube you can see a demo and it shows the code on how I did it if you'd like to try with that. I would suggest letting users select the program accordingly. Youtube : Ronetcorp
